The Faculty Engagement group at DoIt Academic Technology is offering several opportunities to gain new insight and techniques for integrating technology with the face-to-face student experience through blended learning. The following opportunities are available:
The weekly one-hour labs provide inspiration and practical tips for using new technology in the classroom, and time to experiment with the guidance of experts and faculty colleagues. Held Fridays at 8:45am in room 120 of the Middleton Building (1305 Linden Drive), spring topics focus on Canvas.

Sessions in this series provide instructors with easily implemented teaching approaches that encourage active dialogue between instructors and students to facilitate deeper learning. Participants will learn interactive techniques that can help determine comprehension of course content, identify gaps and misconceptions early, and facilitate approaches that can move students to higher level learning.

On May 5 at Union South, Blend@UW hosts their annual Blended Learning Year-End Celebration to showcase blended learning initiative from the past year.
The final session in this series, Creating and Sustaining High-Demand 131 Programs, takes place on March 31 at Union South. EI’s Brown Bag session aims to help instructors create and sustain high-demand programs for non-traditional audiences. Register here.
